Portsmouth Reservoir

Situated in a stunning area of the Pennines between Todmorden and Burnley, Portsmouth Reservoir is a fantastic place to fish when the weather is good.

This site has been leased since the 1980’s-but vast improvements have been made since we aquired the fishing rights.
An access pathway has been made and the ‘diving stage’ has been removed. The leak has also been repaired.

Although it can get very windy don’t let that put you off as Portsmouth is an excellent fishery with very hard fighting fish. Two large floating islands exist to provide refuge from predatory birds. The disabled car park right next to the dam wall was completed in 2006 and work done to install a path along both banks for easy access. A further 3 pegs where added and the disabled carpark extended in 2016.

Important Information!

This blocks the access to the farm. The only access to this water for anglers and tackle is through the car park. Anybody found doing any of the above will have their membership suspended.
