Waters

We are very proud of our waters, many of which have been painstakingly brought back to life after years of dereliction.

In order to ensure that our waters stay in this condition we ask that you leave the waters how you found them, don't leave litter and look after the fish which you catch.

If you notice pollution in our waters please call the Environment Agency on 0800 80 70 60 (24 Hours) and also the Canal and River Trust on 01782 785703 or 0800 47 999 47 (outside office hours).
When fishing in any of our waters the rules of T.A.S. must be followed, additionally, when fishing the Rochdale Canal or River Calder the rules of the Canal and River Trust must be observed. View the rules here.
Please note that a Rod License must be obtained before fishing is allowed anywhere in this country. You can obtain a rod license from gov.uk here.
